Text Box: SUPE is very keen to hear from Framework clients old & new who want to get more involved in some of the decision making processes that Framework have.  Most of the meetings below are NOT SUPE meetings but rather FRAMEWORK meetings that SUPE are involved in.  Most of the time we support clients by encouragement – checking that people feel OK about the process – and by making sure they feel able to have their say!! 
Whilst these events are FRAMEWORK events we are keen to promote them because they give clients a chance to really impact on the way services develop or staff are recruited or how Framework respond to different situations.  Go On… Get Involved!

The Client Commission

The Academy Steering Group

The Client Commission has been set up by the Framework Board as a way of getting clients to inform them about Policy & Practice.  The Commission has the chance to examine an area of Framework’s work in some detail– by listening to “Expert Witnesses” - and then producing a report that is tabled at one of the Board’s Sub Committee’s.

This is an exciting new  Framework development that SUPE support.

The Academy is Framework’s service that enables Framework clients to get involved in Learning activities.  The Steering Group helps Framework decide what has gone well, areas to cover in the future and makes other operational decisions.

This is a good chance for clients to bring their views & ideas to the fore, making a huge difference to the what the Academy does.

Getting Involved in Recruitment

Text Box: For the past few years Framework have established a process whereby staff from projects “Audit” other projects, to help ensure that services are running the way Framework want them.  Now there is a chance for clients to get involved in this… It’s early days & we’re involved with  Framework, to find the best way of making this happen

For the past 3 years many Framework clients have been on a Recruitment Panel, helping Framework select new members of their staff team.  SUPE are involved sometimes but more often now, projects themselves get clients involved.  SUPE do offer training if clients want it, as well as supporting clients on the day of interviews if they wish.
